To assume the role of a moderator in a conversation, there are two primary methods.
Firstly, by initiating a new conversation, you are automatically designated as the moderator for that particular dialogue. This grants you the authority to manage the conversation’s details, users, content, etc.
Secondly, if you are a participant in an ongoing conversation, an existing moderator or administrator has the capability to update your role within that conversation to that of a moderator. This action enables you to adopt the responsibilities and privileges associated with moderating the discussion.
